Recently Community of Caring had an unfortunate situation where our 2013 passenger van, a Chrysler Town and Country was involved in an accident. The accident resulted in the van being totaled. We use the van daily for transporting residents to work in our food pantry, grocery shopping, picking up donated food, taking residents to doctor appointments and medicine pick-up. Also, we take residents to the DMV to get updated Identification Cards as well as providing a ride to job interviews. The forty-eight residents of Community of Caring are all impacted by this unfortunate situation.
With an Urgent Grant from the Erie Community Foundation, along with insurance money, we were able to purchase this 7 passenger SUV. We are up and running! Thank you from all of us at Community of Caring!
