OUR WORK
Offering help and hope to those in need
We are an emergency homeless shelter near downtown Erie, open 365 days a year for food, shelter, and other basic needs.
Shelter
Community of Caring provides emergency shelter to homeless single adults. We offer a safe place where homeless adults can get shelter and a fresh start with compassion and respect.
Hot Meals
Three hot meals a day are served to shelter residents. We will also serve breakfast and lunch seven days a week and dinner on Saturdays to anyone in need in the Erie Community.
Food Pantry
The Community of Caring Food Pantry distributes food three times a week. To receive services, people must meet income guidelines and live within our service area.
Following a mission rooted in love and compassion for all.
Community of Caring believes in:
- Treating everyone with dignity
- Greeting everyone by name
- Reducing risks from street life
- Creating paths to stable housing and well-being
